[V6-12v] Low Idle + Oil Light = Fix two problems in one?

I do keep the RPM's up to warm it up to get the light to go out
anyway.  Well, the oil light has been doing this for a little over a
month, so I don't think it's the pump.  When I change the sensor, will
the idle go back up because it'll be sensing the correct oil pressure?
 In other words, is the idle computer after the ECM figures out the
oil pressure the sensor sees?
