Since you say "A6" (instead of "100") I assume it is '95 or newer.  I
believe '95 was the year that 4 sensors showed up.  (My '94 100 only has
2.)

Autozone sells an O2 sensor socket.  Most auto parts stores should have
one, as well.  It is essentially just a deep well socket with a slot down
the side for the wire to run.
