Sounds like you need to leave that bleeder open while you add coolant to
the system. When coolant leaks out the bleeder, close it.
The reservoir is one of the highest points in the system. But so is the
point where the hoses enter through the firewall to the heater core. You
have more than one maxima in the system, hence, the need for more than one
bleed screw.
