[V6-12v] Check Engine Light

Nathan,
Pull the ECU codes. You didn't mention which car you drive, but I assume
it's a 93-95 V6 of sorts. You can short two terminals in the black and
white plugs in the fuse box (under hood, driver's side) and the check
engine light (MIL) will blink the ECU codes at you. Check Sjm Automatic or
v12.org for details.
Once you have the codes you'll be able to diagnose the problem a bit better
(or write to the list and we'll help you out.)
