[V6-12v] A6 2.8 to 4.2 conversion

I know what your thinking, but I need to ask anyway. How much trouble would it be to stuff a V8 into my A6 quattro wagon? Please don't think of me as a wild haired crazy idiot who half heartedly thinks and posts stupid questions. I am someone who has done two turbo conversions in the past. Has it been done to the A6 quattro? Mine is 97' "vintage". The options are to get an allroad, S6, or Volvo v70r and I still like the A6qw all except the 2.8 POS. Thanks for any help.
