[V6-12v] Door busted !!!

I would like to begin by thanking everyone for their words of encouragement
over the last few days. It has been dark days looking out into the garage
with my wounded car door hanging off.. but I am getting over the total shock
now and the healing must begin . I am really a mechanical guy .. not so much
a body work guy so I know I needed help !! 

Seriously !!

Called my local body shop and after he finished laughing he said the problem
is not as bad as it appears, especially if I can get a door ! Tommorow I
will take my car in , he said he can make it so I can close the door in
about 5 minutes if I take the inside trim off ! .He also said to me DO NOT
REMOVE THE DOOR !  He will use the old door to straighten the hinges if
necessary . Those are very beefy looking hinges and I am hopeful I will be
okay. 

            Secondly I was able to get a door from Chris at force5auto (
thanks again to the list for the info ). Once he finished laughing .hmmmmm..
he gave me a great deal on a door "complete" so all I have to do is paint it
and put on my mirror. I have to drive 11 hours each way to get it but I
consider that punishment to my self for being such a dumb-ass in the first
place. 

 

As usual I will keep you guys up to speed and if anyone wants digital pics
of a dumb-ass Audi with a busted door . let me know !!
