[V6-12v] C4 100 ball joint

Bah!  My '94 100 S Avant with 149K miles failed to pass inspection
due to a bad upper ball joint (port side). As I don't have a manual
for this one yet, I have a few questions:

1. On a scale of 1-to-10 ((easy-to-difficult), how tough is it to
    replace a ball joint?  Any special tools? Can an AudiKlutz(tm)
    handle it?

2. Does anyone have a write-up?  My Google search of the Audifans
    site turned up some general steps, but no detail.  And I'm all
    for detail.
