Calvyn,
If you can get a 22mm box end wrench onto the sensor, don't bother with the
crowfoot. You'll get more leverage with the wrench. You might consider
applying more force by using a cheater bar (length of pipe extending the
handle of the wrench). However, if space is tight a crowfoot and a long
breaker bar might be the answer. You can also try tapping the sensor with a
hammer (hit where the sensor meets the pipe). Sometimes that breaks the
rust lose. But whatever you do make sure you're using the right size tools.
If it's 7/8 use 7/8. If it's 22mm use 22mm. Too big tools will round off
the hex and make it impossible to remove that sensor.
I don't know of any particular tricks. But I've also never removed a
post-cat O2 sensor (or even owned a car with a post-cat sensor).
