[V6-12v] Bilstein shocks

Shaft size? ....
Will I be able to put my current strut cap on or does it come with a 
replacement. ? I remember beating up my cap pretty good the last time .. I 
think it actually looked OVAL by the time I beat it up with a burley 
corrections officer ( my neighbour ), sledge hammer, a propane torch, and 
two pipe wrenches..I was so worried about peeling open the entire strut 
housing.. I am to this day amazed i didn't ...

and can you believe after all that i put Munroes in ??

To be fair in cost me about 50.00 US for both and it was very early after my 
"project" purchase. The original was completely collapsed after coming in 
contact with a railway grossing at about 100mph according to the PO. I 
wanted to put something cheap in as I was still doing a feasability study to 
see if  I was actually going to keep this car and just wanted it driveable 
.. so glad I did but now it is time to get back to the performance of a 
sport sedan ...
