Hi,
just bought a '96 A6q. Got it cheap because the engines does not run like it
should.

I did a scan with VAG-COM and got the following codes:

Address 01 -------------------------------------------------------
   Controller: 8A0 906 266 J
   Component: 2,8l V6/2V MPI D01
   Coding: 04242
   Shop #: WSC 02324
4 Faults Found:
17609 - Fuel Injector for Cylinder 1 (N30): Electrical Malfunction
            P1201 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
17610 - Fuel Injector for Cylinder 2 (N31): Electrical Malfunction
            P1202 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
17612 - Fuel Injector for Cylinder 4 (N33): Electrical Malfunction
            P1204 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
17613 - Fuel Injector for Cylinder 5 (N83): Electrical Malfunction
            P1205 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent

Any good tips? It seems weird that cylinder 1, 2, 4 and 5 have got the same
fault code.

The car will not idle on all 6, and it stumbles and misses a bit when
accelerating from a stop. It lacks some power in normal driving too, but if
I floor it, it feels almost like it should. Mileage is a bit worse than
expected, but not very bad.

According to the repair manual, I need to measure the injectors and the
wiring, I'll do this tomorrow. Is there anyone here that have experienced
some of the same problems?
