after everything was disconnected under the hood and
under the dash, i just pulled on it gently and it came
out, it helps that i'm 6"-2" at 225 lbs ;)

definitley before it was back in the car ;)

when you get the box out, get it on the bench and move
the flaps around.  take pics after each flap move.... 
 

when do you plan to do this ? 

i'd buy the core and a heater valve at the same time,
should be under a $100.-
