In one word, YES. He is not an Audi trained mechanic, but he replaced the starter, the ignition switch, and changed the oil in my 90S and A6. Both cars seem to work OK so I am happy. It cost me $150.00 plus parts.
I will next have him tackle the clutch on the 90S whenever it goes bad - which should not be too far away since the car is 11 years old and has 125,000 miles.

Let me get this straight. You have a mechanic who makes house calls?
