[V6-12v] Removing Bolts and Injectors

Guys,
I'm halfway into the head gasket stripdown. Two problems:
Firstly, some monkey before me has rounded out the interior hex of the valve
cover bolts (two of them). Any tips for removing these short of drilling
them out? I'm thinking a reverse tap of some kind?
Secondly, anyone got any tips for removing the injectors (and injector rail
in one piece) from the Intake Manifold?
My Audi manual says undo the bracket and the fuel supply/ return pipes and
then 'lift off the injectors'. Having tried this today (I need to replace
the injector seals and intake manifold gasket) I have to say that 'lift off'
implies an apparent ease belied by the brute force seemingly required. I've
pulled quite hard, and there is nothing else attached to the manifold apart
from the injector seals, yet the thing won't budge.
Does anyone have any tips if they've done this before? Is it simply a
question of brute force, or is there a technique involved?
Cheers,
James
