Local Meineke muffler shop replaced the cats on the wife's 95 A6 with their in 
house brand. The Audi cat came as a one piece unit with the exhaust manifold 
coupler and connecting pipe. The oem connecting pipe was also a double wall 
construction. Meineke put together couplers, connecting pipes and a cat, 
welded it all together and it's been running well now for about about 2 
years. One side was done 2 years ago and the other last year. I think the 
cost was about $150 per side.
