[V6-12v] Tires

I've just been into this in some depth, because I upsized on my A80Q from my
205/60 R15 tyres, to 225/45 R17s (chose Michelin Pilot Sport PS2s in the end
- which are awesome).

I don't think in any case you will do better than Michelins. I've used them
on many models/sizes with great success, and actually we did a test on my
mum's VW Golf 1.8T when we switched from Conti Sports to Michelin Primacys
which we feel was a small improvement.

I've had recent experience while running two A80s of the Michelin effect.
The Q came with Hankooks, and Goodyear F1s (different front/rear - bad
choice on a Q). When I swapped them for the 4x Michelin Primacys on the
non-Q, two things were noticed:

1. the Quattro handles like a dream, very positive and direct with the
Michelins, where it had been a mess before
2. the FWD, which handled great before with Michis, now handles like a damp
sponge.

In either case, I think the only good choices are Michelins (Pilot Primacy,
or Pilot Sport PS2 are the ones to go for if you can). Or Contis. Contis are
definitely good tyres. A mate of mine uses Conti Sports on his S2 and it
goes round corners like a rocket.

Michelins will almost certainly last longer without sacrificing performance.

Just my 2c...
