[V6-12v] A6 Timing Belt

Hi Casimiro,

I would be very surprised if replacing the timing belt is covered by any
warranty, except if it fails during the warranty period or before the
service interval...and I'd bet if there was a service interval for it (there
should be) and you didn't have it done, they wouldn't cover it.

The timing belt is not to be screwed around with.  I have heard of quite a
few people who have waited too long, and paid the price.  I did mine at 65k
I believe, and my car was 10 years old at the time.  It's cheap enough to do
compared to the damage it can cause.  Also, replace the water pump, idler
pulley and thermostat when you replace the timing belt.  The parts/labor
additionally for those is peanuts compared to one of them failing in 30k and
having to pay basically the same labor again.
