Hi,
This may sound stupid, but have you hade your wheels balanced and alligned?
and if so, was the person who did it competent and paid attention when doing
so? I have a similar issue due to their being a slight buckle in the wheel. As
I only have a front wheel drive, and this is onthe back, there is negligiable
tyre wear anyway, so I'vegot better things to spend money on. Counter to
traditional response though, the suspension on my car atleast works to the
point where it seems to change it's hardness when ever it resonates, giving a
similar result to what you described at a specific speed.
I'm a mechanical engineer, and work with mechanical engineers, non of us have
been able to work out how that makes sense on a 96 A4, but that is what
happens!
cheers
Jon
