[V6-12v] 97 A6 suddenly no crank

Hello everyone
Last time I posted I owned a type44 but now u have a real situation with a 97 A6 wagon .
The car will not crank at all unless you override the position 
4 starter interlock relay with a spade loop.
I found many broken wires in the driver door flex loom(repaired) and rear gate flex loom(repaired)
As soon as I jump it at position 4
Relay under kick panel the engine will start ...but at this point I now can drive with 1-2-3 forward gears and no reverse???
I hesitate to suspect the -multi function switch -because as I understand "failsafe mode" you only have 1 gear (3rd)and also reverse.
I am looking for opinions on the "central locking" box by battery or does the car think it's -being stolen-?
