Roger,
I bought a new '91 200 Avant at Christmas 1990. I drove it for 21 years;
logging 317,000 miles. At 298,000 miles we put it on the dyno at O34 and
it pulled the factory spec for torque, horsepower, etc. and still had
the factory spec for compression in all cylinders. The lack of
availability of body trim was the main thing that kept it from a
complete restoration and going for another 100,000 miles. I sold it for
a six speed allroad.
If you can live with the body trim hassles there is little question the
car will go many more miles, if it is well cared for. I ran Mobile 1
synthetic, changing it and the filter every 15 to 20 thou miles. I also
sparingly used fuel system cleaners but did have the injectors rebuilt
at 270,000. The car does benefit from a strut brace, which I installed
at about 60,000 miles. Various bits and pieces from O34 and others kept
this great wagon on the road and reliable far longer than I expected.
Good luck with the 100.................
