[V8] Fw: Bose speaker question

... funny, I was considering responding to the first post because I
*thought* I was seeing something similar ... but Ingo's post confirms it ...

I've got a very similar situation happening on #2 ... perhaps I should start
calling it #1.5 since getting rear ended a week ago ... anyway ... on my car
the right side speakers both work properly, but the left ones are weak.
I've tried different units ... same symptoms. There is a funky wiring
arrangement (can't think of a better word) between the deck and the wires
that go to the Boze amps. Added wiring for the power and ground gets into
the mix ... you can see how confusing it is by checking out the wiring
diagram for the stereo! A long time ago I think I was very close to a
discovery, and when I get a chance I'll go back in for a look. It is a
fairly standard looking loom under the console, but it has multiple layers
of fabric tape covering all of the interconnections. Perhaps your problem
is in this area ... as I suspect mine is.

You should be able to make a fairly quick check ... remove one of the rear
speaker units (probably better to choose the weaker one) and plug it into
the connector from the other side ...
