[V8] IC (again)

  Listers,

  I posted a few weeks ago about this interior light
delay thing not working all the time as well on my 90
V8
 but didn't get the influx of responses like the
original poster of this thread,
but now that there's all this talk I've come to some
conclusions after reading the posts. 
 I've allso been looking at the wiring diagrams in the
Manual & found that the interior lights are hooked up
to the seat belt/gas/temp guage. When this happens my
interior lights stay on after the car is started my
gas/ temp guage wont work but after a punch to the gas
guage the seat belt/gas/temp guage's will work & my
interior lights will go out,
 this was done rite after the car was started, mind
you most of the time the lights & everything work as
there supposed to. 

 I've allso changed the board in the cluster with a
used one from a parts car I have still got the same
problem after I did that,
 I allso used a contact cleaner when doing the cluster
R&R. I was thinking that there was some kinda
connection problem at the other ends of the wires
cause how could 2 IC's give me the same symptoms?
 I as well would like to know defiantly if it's the
cluster board before buying a new one (cost me $200
for a new one for my 200) so I can imagine what a new
one for the V8 cost.?
 I'm going to take a better look at the original board
I have from the car which only has 86k original miles
on it,
 was kinda thinking that thats to earlie for the
problems other listers are having as well. What do
others with these problems have for miles?
