[V8] no V8 headlights

You can try cleaning and treating with circuit enhancers like Stabilant.
Usually won't fix it forever.  What happens is the circuit overheats and
melts the plastic in the connector and the switch, and the melted material
invades the connection.  The principal repair is to first relay the lights
so that the power goes from the battery to the lights, not from the battery
to the switch to the lights.  Then replacement of the contacts in the
wiring harness connector and cleaning up of the stud on the switch should
prevent the sudden loss of lights.  I  found that a thump on the plastic
trim covering the switch often will reestablish enough contact to give you
lights again until you can get the circuit fixed.
