[V8] Too many type 44s

Seems I have a few too many type 44 Audis on the premises, and I want to
make them go away.

Problem of course is that no one locally has any idea what they are worth.
While I'm not looking to get rich on these two older cars, I also am not
going to sell them cheap to some drooling pizza-delivery munchkin who will
promptly put ATF into the Pentosin tank, go drag racing, and try to sue me
when he blows it up or crashes it or both.

So I'm going to turn to the list and try to get some ideas of approximate
value and how to sell them.

86 5KS, standard shift, leather power seats and door panels out of an 87
5KTQ, all the doors work, all the windows work, the sunroof works, all the
usual type 44 parts replaced, has eurolights, metal radiator, Jorgen rack,
new windshield (yes, you can see where you're going!), new front shocks,
DaLan trailer hitch, full-width turbo-style tail light bar, BBS 14" wheels,
Michelin tires (about 50%). Needs e-brake unstuck, rack swapped under
Jorgen's lifetime warranty, one halfshaft (which I have ready to install
but just don't want to do it). There's a crack in the dash, and I have a
replacement dash plus working odometer (!) ready to install. A/C not
working (so what else is new?). This car was my daily driver until I bought
the V8Q. Silver-grey, blue interior. Two minor dents above the windshield
where a tree branch fell on it, otherwise un-dinged.

86 5KTQ (Canadian 5000 CD model), many spare parts, metallic black with
really nice black leather interior, engine was extensively rebuilt before I
got it, lots of very expensive little bits that no one ever replaces are
done. Have cam, ECU, chip, Charlie spring, lots of spare parts. This is an
easy project car, it will need brakes, general tidying (as our British
cousins say), and then it will be a nice car. Again, I have too much to do,
not enough time. No body damage.

SO - the questions are - will I get enough more for these cars by fixing
the squawks, or am I better off selling them as-is? They are in Daytona
Beach, and the Audi market isn't strong around here. If the TQ was in the
same shape as the 5K, it would sell in a minute on the marketplace, but it
isn't (but if that is what I *have* to do, I will - I just don't want to .
. . )

Suggestions solicited - it seems to be much easier to BUY Audis than to
SELL them.

What I *really* ought to do is trade them both for a two-car garage!

Best Regards,

Mike Arman
