[V8] Speakers for V8

Here is a write up I did a while back. Hope it helps.

I am just finishing an install of a new audio system in my ’
91 V8Q. I have all the equipment in and running and it
sounds awesome! All I have left to do is put the inside of
the car back together again, console side panels, back seat,
etc. I used the original Blaupunkt Delta II Radio. This
radio is preamp out only and drives the amps great. By
using it, I was able to maintain a stock look. The car had
the Audi 6 disk changer option already in the trunk. I
installed 3 amplifiers, 1 for front speakers, 1 for the rear
speakers and 1 bridged single channel for a sub woofer.

A pair of 4” Polk Audio coaxial speakers went in the
original Bose enclosures in the doors w/ only slight
modifications to the enclosures, a pair of 3 ½” Alpine
coaxial speakers went in the dash. The rear deck got a set
of plate speakers with 5 ½” drivers. The rear deck in the
Audi has round holes with 6 x 9 adapters you need to keep
the adapters to install aftermarket 6x9's. I mounted an 8”
enclosed subwoofer in the trunk and removed the ski bag to
allow the bass into the passenger area.
