hi, list.
Well, 14 years and 115k later, my 1990 V8 started to leak red auto trans fluid from somewhere inside the front differential Bellhousing, located just to the right (passenger side) of the engine. Small puddle after the car stops. My trusted mechanic says the auto trans seals inside this bell housing are blown. The estimate to replace all seals is $2000 plus parts, a couple hundred more.
So, I love the car and say to myself, "Scott, why not get a rebuilt trans, then you stop two problems - seals plus the bands and inner workings of the trans".
I checked the archives and found the following:
1. thepartsconnection.com
2. 'Frank' at

so, while this may be a grab bag of auto trans replacement and repair sources, can those of you with a recent Auto Trans R&R experience, please reply and recommend one of these sources, or supply a better alternative.
Thanks,
