[V8] installing spring / fog up

... to be clear, you are saying the same thing I am ... the door in the
passenger compartment and the one outside the passenger compartment are
linked together.  Notice I said to force the door *outside* the passenger
compartment open ... this will close the one inside the passenger
compartment and allow air to flow through the car rather than recirculate
...
