The Lexus and Audi (and BMW & VW & Jeep) dealers are all in the same building
here. (same owner)
Whenever I get depressed about Audi parts prices or reliability, I ask the part
person for a lexus price for whatever part I am looking for - just for fun. It
is never cheaper. If I go out to the service bay I always see lots of lexi
missing various bits of extremely high quality hardware. No doubt the
replacement parts are every bit as good as the original parts eh?
On my last trip they had the transmission out of a low mile LX470 super hi
quality SUV. Perhaps the pimp - er I mean the gold package weighted it down so
much the tranny got toasted?

Just to continue on the same note (well rant really) a workmate of mine
recently had to replace the transmission in his bullet proof Honda - at 80K
miles. Imagin his shock when he got to the transmission shop and they not only
had seen a transmission out of a honda before, they were quite familier with it
too.
