Got me curious...are you thinking 2 qts/5k mi is high or low?...it's been
pretty much the same for the last 80k that I've owned it.   BTW, my driving
is mostly mixed urban.  And I use basically whatever dino oil that's on sale
(20-50 in summer, 10-40 in winter)...yeah, I'm the guy that also runs 87
octane...
 
Thanks for the word on the reduced oil quantity.  I assume that the higher
level could lead to foaming (?) from agitation.  Wouldn't that result in
lowered oil pressure and elevated oil temps?  Mine does the (normal?) bit of
7 bars at start and cruise, about 1.8 at idle hot.

BTW -- Wow!  2 qts for 5k miles.  What type of oil are you running (not to
start another oil thread).  Must do a lot of highway driving...
