[V8] V8 problems go on - ignition rough running

Hi All,

Thanks for the help on the starting problem - rpm and crank sensor. It 
starts well but  now it  runs rough and misses/backfires. The shop said 
it needs new Dist. caps and wires (ouch)! I pulled the caps and cleanded 
up the contacts - did not help. Do you think the wires are it? Can a guy 
make his own set vs the $300or so  for wires. Should I be looking at 
something else? The rough running was not a problem prior to the rpm and 
crank sensors.  Also it seems to shift harder now - more abrupt.
