[V8] V8 problems go on - ignition rough running

I'd be interested to know what codes the diag center is showing.  Aside from that, a recent renewal of a friend's reference/rpm sensors was followed by a bad distributor cap about two days later.  (I believe it to be coincidence, even with your situation.)  Trying to clean/restore the bad cap didn't make any difference, but two new ones has put the issue to bed.

More likely than the wires, IME.
