I use the "if it ain't broke" approach myself ... I'd suspect that there's a
good chance that you'd do more harm than good. You can tell the area gets
warm by what happened to the original tubing ... electrical tape probably
would not last long. If you aren't getting fault codes on that KS then be
thankful for that! I suppose that if you wanted to do something to prolong
the life of things you might want to look into methods for thermal
insulation ...
