[V8] Slow Coolant Leak

I have a very slow coolant leak that I can’t locate.  The level in my reservoir will drop about an inch per 500 to 1000 miles.  The expansion tank, lower radiator hose, and both expansion tank hoses are new.  The water pump has about 40k on it.  The car never puts out white smoke.  I realize that this could be many different things but I was wonder if anyone had some insight.  I can't hear any hissing or see any steam after I shut the engine down. I want to fix it before it gets major and puts me onto the side of the road.  Any ideas are appreciated.  Thanks in advance.
