[V8] Fuel Pump removal

Thanks Jeremy / Dave.

 

OK - the pump is out and very dead - hooked it straight to the battery and
nothing happens.  Is this pump V8 specific or is there another car I might
find it on?

 

Also - There is thick sludge around the top of the pump and lots of
corrosion on the float assembly.  Is this normal?  The car has not been
driven for a couple of years from what I understand.
