[V8] Worn Engine Mounts

When I first heard my engine mounts had collapsed was at the Audi dealer.  
The V8
specialist simply looked at the clearance between the engine/air cleaner 
cover and
the rod at the top of the firewall.  He said the engine should sit up almost 
level with
that rod.  Simple way to tell.  It proved true in my case - replaced the 
mounts and
the engine sits up as he said.
