[V8] Bose full swap out

1.7ohms was a number that someone told me once...  I am running 4ohm
6x9s in the back, a 50Wx4 MP3/CD head unit and Bose stock speakers (sans
amplifiers) in the baffles in the doors.  Works just fine, but I have it
faded to the back a bit...

One of these days, I am going to upgrade to 4" separates in the doors,
and a tweeters under the speaker grills in the dash locations.

Your poor reception *may* be due to the rear antenna-amplifier not
receiving +12v...  Did you hook up your 'antenna out' lead from the new
radio to the wire (found at the factory radio plug) that feeds this
booster?  I unfortunately do not know what color that wire is...

My recollection is that they are 1 ohm speakers.  That, if I recall, is
the 
real difficulty of upgrading the system--few amps can power the stock 
speakers.  When I upgraded, I replaced everything.   Sounds good, but I 
still can't get the reception I had with the stock deck.
