[V8] Bose Amps

I have been in touch with Bose, who tells me that they will repair the
speaker units for $75 if I ship them in for repair. I do have another
contact, and I am planning to ask them if they could tell me if it is
possible to purchase new amplifier modules directly from Bose. As soon as I
have any info I was planning to post ...
I suppose at this time I could post the other thing I've discovered
regarding the rear speakers. I managed to get the complete Bose harness for
an S4 ... this included the amplifier box. What I found was that inside the
box were two of the same amplifiers as are mounted on the rear speaker
modules ... they are housed in a nice metal box which should provide a
better heat sink and contain any flaming capacitors. I plan to fit this
harness in one of my cars. It is my understanding that the 100 models of
similar vintage have this same setup, but I have not been able to confirm
this as yet. My goal was to allow me to install the Gamma CD-changer, which
will allow me to do away with the remote in the center console ...
