The manual climate controlls was an '89 option in Europe (I wonder if the factory avant is an '89...)

The #1 thing in that type 44 I wish I had in all of mine would be the
manual climate controls. Nice simple dial setup.
FWIW, I'm used to the look of the wife's 200TQA, I think the Avant looks
better with the roof rack, rear wiper and Quattro script in the rear
defroster strip. The wheel arches in the museum car look nice, I asked a
local body guy how much to cut the rear flares out of V8Q #3 and graft
them onto the Avant, he asked for $1000, a bit rich for me at the moment.
I hadn't noticed the rotating setup until it was mentioned here, I saw a
similar "doggie television" (rotisserie) for cars at a Mercyless Benz
dealer selling Smart's in Italy. Like a big vertical dry cleaning rack,
you picked the color Smart you liked as it was swinging by.
