[V8] Hydraulic system leakage

I've only ever had a catastrophic leak (drain the reservoir in a two-mile
drive) from a pump itself. The symptoms you describe of a gradually
increasing leak to the present could be any point in the system. But the
hose leaks I've had (high pressure line to rack and supply line from pump)
were relatively gradual. That is, they'd leak a liter in 4-500 miles.
I've resealed at least half a dozen pumps so far. Three had gradual leaks
from the mushroom caps and a couple from the seals between the two halves
of the pump body. The catastrophic leak was from between the two halves.
Whenever I "do" a pump, I replace all the O rings and the front seal around
the shaft now.
