Ralph - are you refering to the autocheck display being invisable with the
headlights off? If so, there is an ordinary dash lamp with a yellow boot over it
behind the display. There is another red lamp that switches on with the
headlights. You have to remove the cluster to change them - but there is no
special trick. Given your luck with this dealer though, everyone will be better
off with your rebate idea. The new owner can find a competent shop or just do it
himself.
