Hello All - I just wanted to thank everyone for their help. What a great
group of folks - I got a lot of responses with great advice and thanks
for sharing your experiences. I just have one more thing to add and then
I won't bug you guys about this anymore ;-)
Update: I've come to the sad realization that the 1990 Q-V8 IS totaled.
Runs great, drivable, no window damage or leaks. Just needs the driver's
side doors fixed. (side note: neither insurance company is going to
cover it. I'm suing my insurance company over coverage denial.
Okay, here's where it gets interesting. When I posted the story of my
Audi on this list I had put the link to our website. Someone emailed me
and mentioned that our logo was an upside down horseshoe, which if you
are superstitious, is bad luck. This logo was just created a week or so
before the accident. Coincidence? Well, I immediately fixed the logo so
the horseshoe is now right side up. The next DAY someone who had heard
about the Audi being wrecked donated ANOTHER one! It's a 1991 Quattro,
V8, pearl white, in mint condition. Runs great, perfect condition inside
and out, all leather interior (black), dual sunroof, 4WD, good tires.
It's beautiful. I can see why you guys are so attached to these cars. I
think I actually "bonded" with it! As much as I would love to continue
my love affair with the Audis - I have to sell them. They belong to the
non-profit org and we desperately need funding.
Sorry again for kind of "interrupting" the forum - I must sound insane.
but you guys have been so helpful! I'm trying to get my digital camera
fixed so I can post pictures. If anyone is interested, please email me
(again) and I will send pics.
Thanks, Audi Guys!!
Katie

Hello - My Audi was hit on the driver's side at about 35mph. Both driver
and passenger door won't open, the roof was buckled about an inch. It is
in otherwise mint condition and runs perfect! Fully loaded, black
w/black leather interior. This car had been donated to our small
non-profit organization in the Northwest (Seattle) shortly before the
accident. I thought I had full coverage, but my insurance is claming I
only had liability/no uninsured motorist. The person who hit me is
uninsured.
I'm trying to figure out if this car can be repaired - if so, where to
go - or if someone would like to help me repair/sell it? Or just take it
off my hands?
Thank you,
Katie
