[V8] front diff( EDL or just plain open?

About 2 years ago I had a dealer replace my wheel bearings and after that the rear end kept locking up when I turned.  It turned out that the ABS sensor was not re-installed properly.  Once adjusted properly the car ran fine.

The dealer had no idea what was wrong with it and said the tires where worn.  I replaced the tires which didn't do a thing.  I posted the problem on this list and got the answer.  I printed the e-mail and handed it to the mechanic.  They basically laughed and said "no way that would cause that"
