[V8] Irregular idle, stalling and balking when pressing accelerator

Had noticed that in the descriptions.... but experiencing the problems immediately (like driving away from the garage) after replacement of the O2 Sensor - make me suspect the sensor. I guess I am a non-believer in 'coincidence!

My mechanic is a good Audi tech and have been using him for some time.... so don't think there was an error in connecting the sensor. Spoke to him this morning and he says he will take a quick look at it.

    many thanks for your help!
I checked the ECU codes on the web page to see if any described my
problems.... I found that ECU problem code 2341 (Oxygen Sensor Control
Limit exceeded) refers to - 'Extremely lean or overly rich exhaust'. The
    cause, faulty O2 sensor!
First thing this morning is to pull the codes - and keep my fingers crossed
    that the ECU 'blinks-out' 2341.

there can be several causes for a 2341 code besides a faulty O2 or its wiring. A sticky FPR causing higher than normal pressure is one. A dirty fuel filter causing a poor flow problem is another.
