[V8] Conductive grease ...

That really sucks Steve. Those welded connections are usually wrapped inside 
the wire looms. You will have to tear the looms out and un-tape them.

On the bright side, they are probably all safe from water damage. That is as 
permenant a connection as you can make.
I would focus on the connectors in the fuse/relay panel area. (you know - the 
area of the car with the most connections per square inch - which was under 
water)

FYI (and not a pretty one) I once had a relay that failed because the armature 
spring was rusted through. I hope the water line was below all those 
relays/control units.
