[V8] oil leak

Did you by chance just add some oil, and spill it along the spark plug cover?
If so, it drains out the back of the head over the distributor base.

My usual course of action would be to clean up the motor/engine bay as good as
possible and then look for leaks but this can easily cause more problems if you
get water in connectors/distributor caps, etc.

If you do use a pressure washer, plan to clean and dry out all electrical
connectors and the caps.
