Well, I got my front strut cartridges on the V8 last night. I went ahead
and put some KYB's on it. Nice ride now. As all of you said, they were
very straight forward to put on. I only wish more vehicles would design a
setup like that. I am now just awaiting my exhaust so she'll be nice and
quiet again. My next task is going to be replacing the timing belt,
tensioners, water pump, front seals, etc. The car has 102,000 miles on it
and the belt was supposedly done at 69,000 miles, but I was never shown a
reciept for it, so I am not taking any chances.
Where can I purchase the proper tools for putting the timing belt on? A
friend and I are going to go in together on the tools (he too has caught the
V8 bug) and his belt is not far off from needing replacement.
Thanks everyone for the help!
Kyle
(by the way, the surging is now cured as well as the jerk when you let off
of the accelerator. I also think I found the ABS problem, maybe)
