Well, I've got it all back together. Wasn't too bad a job in retrospect. Scott Matus saved the day by offering to let me cannibalize an injector from one of his V8's when I had one injector (the last one I did of course) with a broken plastic tip cap.
So 16 new o-rings with everything reassembled correctly now. I'll see how she runs and report later. So far no more fuel leak, which is not surprising given how I found the one fuel rail installed.
I used 3-in-1 oil to lubricate the o-rings for reassembly. Refitting the fuel rails simulataneously on 4 injectors/o-rings didn't turn out to be all that bad.
None of my injector clips seemed to fit correctly when I removed them. When I reinstalled them, I found that a gently lift up on each injector brought them close enough to the fuel rail so that the clips would attach properly.
I used a drum brake tool to pry/lift up on the injectors. Later I disassembled a pair of channel lock pliers and used the one side as a pry tool which worked much better to lift the injectors up.
I'm going to check Pep Boys for injector caps based on an email from yesterday or the day before.
