I know this is completely off topic, but I thought it was interesting. The
following are supposedly excerpts from various training/instruction manuals,
and journals used by our armed forces:

* Five-second fuses only last three seconds.

* A slipping gear could let your M203 gernade launcher fire
when you least expect it. That could make you quite unpopular in what's left
of your unit.

*  Any ship can be a minesweeper...once.

* Cluster bombing from B-52s is very, very accurate. The bombs
are guarenteed to always hit the ground.

* It is generally inadvisable to eject directly over the area
you just bombed.

* If your attack is going too well, you're probably walking
into an ambush.

* If the enemy is within range, so are you.

* Tracers work both ways.

* And lastly..."If you see a bomb technician running, try to
keep up with him."
