[V8] A dying battery? Where to get a replacement.

I've noticed that my car barely cranks over when it's cold. It gives a
couple of slow "whirs" and starts, but the fact that is sounds pretty weak
doesn't give me a warm fuzzy feeling. It's tough to replace something that
still works, but I don't want to get stuck somewhere. I'm not sure of the
age of the battery either. So, could someone recommend to me a good
replacement battery and where to get it? I read in the archives that a
dealer wanted $250 for a new battery. What has everyone else done when
replacing the battery?
