[V8] stupid question - cutting a V8 in half

Steve,
   I think the heads are exactly the same for both banks - same part
numbers and everything - I think that audi/vw anticipated the v8 and using
the 1.8 head, therefore, they made the heads exactly the same with the
ability to bolt on different things in different places to make them work
side to side.  I originally thought that they would be mirror images too -
but inspection proved otherwise - about the head fitting directly on a 1.8
I don't know just because the valve diameters may be different or
something small like that but I do belive that the intake and exaust is in
the exact same place - again I could be wrong.
