[V8] Can't open hood

If the cable is not broken and the problem is that the latch assembly
needs to be adjusted (tightened), then theoretically you should be able
to pull it open with the cable...

The leaver in the car pulls the metal cable a limited amount (say 1").
If you can use needle nose pliers to pull this metal cable more than an
inch, it may pop the hood open.

Be warned that this *may* damage the cable and require that you replace
it (you may want to get a price check on this cable.

You could always sell it before you need to change the oil ;-)

Not opening at all...........secondary latch was never great either but
it's
definitely the main cable that runs to the driver's footwell....
